Alabama Estate Paper with Slave Valuation

In part: "Samuel Henderson administrator of the estate of John Reynolds deceased, complains of Bennett Driver on custody &c of a plea that he render to him certain goods & chattels to note, the following negro slaves (vis) Jane a woman of dark complexion, a girl about 30 years, of the value of $800. Humphrey a boy of dark complexion aged about 10 years, of the value of five hundred dollars- Sally a girl of dark complexion aged about six years of the value of four hundred dollars and Jasper a boy age unknown to pltff but known to deft of the value of four hundred dollars which from him he unjustly detains...."
