Negro Protest at Crime Conference
Protesting the failure to include the subject of lynching in the Attorney General's Conference on Crime Program a group of Washington, DC negroes are shown as they lined up in front of D.A.R. Memorial Hall, each with a piece of hempen rope around his neck. As a result of arrest for picketing on the first day of the conference the negroes refrained from parading or gathering in a single group. Photo shows the line.
