The Pullman Porters were African American men who worked as porters on the Pullman Palace Car Company's luxurious passenger trains during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Despite their important role in the train industry, Pullman Porters faced numerous struggles and obstacles. One of the biggest challenges was discrimination and racism.
