Charles Bibbs - Untitled

Charles Bibbs, a California native, is now an internationally known artist. His work can be viewed in museums, galleries, and other organizations around the world. Like many artists Charles Bibbs completed a lot of his artwork while working a separate full time job. After 25 years in his management position, however, Bibbs decided to resign to pursue art full time. In addition to being an artist himself Bibbs also started a publishing and distribution company called B Graphics and Fine Arts, Inc. which publishes a lot of African American Art. The themes of his art include African, African American, and Native American cultural influences that often evoke feelings of spirituality, strength, and grace. Large and exaggerated hands, feet, and other features are also characteristic of his work. Bibbs has also served on the boards of multiple museums and art organizations as well as given many lectures and classes to inspire and educate other artists.
